Current News

Off to Korea

Our son recently (January of 2009) left for Korea to teach in a small school about 5 minutes from North Korea. We miss him but know God is going to stretch him and teach him many new things.  He will be a blessing to those he meets and his mom and I will definitely have to go over and visit him.  Update January 2010 - We just finished a fantastic visit with J and Siwon (his fiance).  The pictures at the top of the home page are of them, enjoy.

My Dad's Book

My father has just finished writing a book and my brother and I finally got it published.  It is titled "How Big is Your God?" and dedicates one chapter each to the different names Scripture gives to God in the Old Testament.  You can go to Amazon and buy it now, yea!!!!  In the search box put the title and my fathers name - Richard Pettitt.  I had no idea how long it would take to get this done, but we are certainly excited that it is out there now.

Warren's Family

My Wife

Deborah is my wife of 39 years.  That can not be possible.  She has a fantastic heart for the Lord and works at the Family Resource and Recovery Center.  She is the Director of Attachment Therapy and her greatest desire in all the world is to see hurting children come to wholeness in Christ. If you want to see a place that puts a smile on the heart of God I suggest you stop by for a visit. They are located at 1300 East Missouri Street, in Phoenix.

Here are a few photos of my fantastic family - Click on an image and it will stop rotating and enlarge.  Click again and it will spin.

My Daughter

Keturah is my daughter and is married to a wonderful young man - Aaron.  They both have a heart for developmentally disabled young people and adults.  They live in a community called Goldensun that works with about 20 developmentally disabled adults.  Keturah is working at the school our grandson Cade goes to within a developmentally disabled classroom.  Aaron is now working for a nonprofit organization called Toby House which has about 20 houses located around the valley.  The Mission of Toby House is to provide peace and happiness for adults living with serious mental illness. Again, if you want to go to a place that brings a smile to the heart of God I suggest you stop by there house on a Monday night (Goldensun community supper night) to experience the love of God.

My Son

Jeremy has now gone to Korea to teach in a small school outside of Seoul.  I am sure he would appreciate your prayers as he is transitioning into a totally new culture.  J has always been a great backpacking partner and for a little while I will have to go it alone.  J has a young lady -Siwon- who is the love of his life and lives in Korea.

My Grandchild

Caedmon brings way to much joy into the life of Deborah and I. What does he like to do? Lets see I think it is soccer season now, next it will be basketball and after that baseball. Saturday mornings are usually taken up watching goals, hoops, and runs scored. When he spends a night with Nana and Papa Peter Piper is always around the corner.

Courage

Our Therapy Dog

courage

Courage is a 3 year old Portuguese Water Dog who goes to work 3 or 4 times a week with Deborah. The Family Resource and Recovery Center puts him to work helping children heal. I often look at him and think.... how can I get a job where all I have to do is go to work and play with kids?
